ENTERTAINER STEVEN ISTVÁN TARJANYI

Steven has been an entertainer since the age of 18 and has over 40 years performing experience as a multi-ethnic singer and guitarist. He was born in Hungary. As a ONE MAN BAND his sounds include guitar, bass, horn section, harmonica, drum and keyboard and vocal.  This can be classified as full background music. The full four to six pieces of background sound can be downsized to one acoustic guitar and a vocal sound with electric drum percussion for a smaller event.

Steven’s live performance and multi-ethnic collection includes virtually everything from the 40’s to the 90’s.  He performed in Europe, including countries such as Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Italy, He also performed on other continents in countries such as Singapore, Canada, and the USA, including the Hawaiian Islands where he resided for 17 years. His very large repertoire includes songs in English, Spanish, Hungarian, Gypsy, Italian, German and French. He also performs instrumental music such as tango, waltz, and Latin sounds.

During his life performance he uses his own state-of-the-art equipment that generate sounds very similar to a studio recording. Please click here to read a recommendation by Jack Moffat, from Columbia Broadcasting System.

All age groups enjoy Steven’s music.  His musical and vocal arrangements include, but are not limited to old favorites, easy listening, and rock and dance music.

Steven’s passion for music and vast entertainment experience will make any event, special occasion, or celebration a memorable experience for any crowd. “DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR DANCING SHOES!”

MUSIC FOR THE UNIVERSE
STEVEN ISTVAN TARJANYI
November 19, 1987

To the Reader:

I am a friend and former employer of Steven Tarjanyi, (pronounced TarYani).

Upon request, it is my pleasure to offer this ‘critique-cum-accolade’ with regards to accomplishments of this unique entertainer.

From educational and music standpoint, Steve studied in Hungary and distinguished himself in his art for a period of six years.  Upon graduation, he pursued his professional career in the musical field as:

-Musical Director
-Arranger
-Lead Guitarist
-Singer (Show Singer)
-Booking Agent

His popularity quickly grew and there are few countries in Europe wherein he did not make his presence known. A guest appearance,  and two-year tour in Canada prompted him to establish his home in Victoria, B. C. where he resided for approximately seven years.

As can be appreciated, the art of musical reproduction is an ever-improving dimension and Steve has proven himself, not only as  keeping with the very latest innovations but, to some degree, as a leader in this ever-expanding art.

I have had the pleasure of listening to Steve while he sang renditions in seven different languages. This capacity certainly  endears him to the various nationalities of his audience.

It becomes interesting to note that this man is equally at home with the avant garde music of today and can instantly revert to an  old family ballad or waltz. Simple question: How many musicians today can make this remarkable transition?

With his mastery of the latest electronic components, he creates the sounds and effects of orchestral composition.

It was my privilege to be employed at one time with the Columbia Broadcasting System and it is my humble opinion that I possibly  possess some knowledge to which I allude.

In conclusion, I would submit that Mr Tarjanyi is, without doubt, a superior entertainer and is dedicated to the enjoyment of his  listeners.

Yours sincerely,

Jack Moffat
